9 Ways to Raise Your Vibration
Your “vibration” is your set point, the frequency that you tend to be in most of the time. When your set point is vibrating at the level of fear, frustration, anger, shame, powerlessness, or some other undesirable calibration, you will be feeling stuck and find it hard to access higher states of love and bliss, which is part of the ascension pathway.
How do you get out of these lower vibratory levels? It does take some effort, starting with awareness of where you are most of the time and having the willingness to change. A good place to start is to take stock of your typical day.
You are only in charge of four things: your thoughts, your emotions, your actions, and your reactions.
As a seeker of ascension, I spend a good amount of time contemplating ways to access these higher states of love, and here are nine things that have made a tremendous difference in my own life.
Turn off mainstream media.
Mainstream media is incredibly biased and negative. I consider it a toxic poison, a weapon of mass distraction.
Why allow these low vibrations into your energy field to penetrate your thoughts and feelings?
When I was running my own restaurant, I simply didn’t have the time to watch any TV so I chose not to have any cable or dish during the 7 years I owned and operated it.
This turned out to be a huge blessing because it allowed me to focus on my customers and serving them in a beautiful setting in Southern Utah. I find that a lot of habits are just habits, whether or not they have value and this is one worth kicking.
Set alarms on your phone to give you a positive message.
This is a wonderful little way to nourish your mind. Focus on messages that you are working to remedy.
For example, many people have low self-worth, it is one of the most common life lessons found in the fingerprints. So you could set an alarm with a personal message such as, “I am a beautiful being of light.” When the alarm goes off each day, it reminds you of this truth.
I typically set three different alarms during the day with different messages and I change them out every couple of months. Have fun with it!
Wake up with gratitude.
When you are just waking up in the morning, you are still essentially in your subconscious mind and are the most “programmable” just upon waking or just as you’re drifting off to sleep.
When you wake up with gratitude, you are opening to positive feelings which will set the tone for the whole day. Before you go to bed, you could also go through 10 things you were grateful for during the day that just finished.
Gratitude opens the doorway to higher states of love.
Spend at least 10 minutes meditating every day.
Set that trusty alarm clock for 10 minutes or longer during a time when you won’t be disturbed.
Don’t tell me you don’t have 10 minutes, if you follow step number one, voila, more time to spend!
Some of you may say you can’t sit still for that long or it doesn’t work for you. Wrong! I used to be just like you.
I have fire hands that like action and stimulation. But I have learned the value of meditation and it has changed my life. You don’t have to think about “nothing” when you meditate either, there are many ways to meditate. I tend to ask a simple open-ended question about my life and close my eyes, focus on my breath for a few breaths, and wait to see if a vision comes up or I need to write something down. For example, I often ask questions such as “What path leads to wholeness?” or “What do I need to know today?” or “How can I make progress in my personal ascension?”
Release attachments to expectations of outcomes.
This is a hard one for over-achievers. I’m all about setting goals and doing vision boards to create your life, but where we trip up is when we become attached to these goals so much so that we end up limiting other outcomes that our soul may actually want for us that may be even better.
Remember that we live in a world of infinite possibilities and you are an infinite being. This means that if your attachments are so finite, you are limiting yourself and your ability to access higher states of love and consciousness.
A good way to set a goal is to add “this or something even better than I can imagine” to the end of it, keeping your possibilities open. It also gives the divine permission to co-create with you.
Talk to items of the earth.
As an infinite being of light, you are able to connect your consciousness to other “beings.” All things have consciousness, including crystals, animals, places, stars, etc.
When you make an effort to learn from and communicate these things, you can gain wisdom that is far beyond your limited human body and mind. For example, everyone has a spirit animal. And that spirit animal can assist you in your life.
I learned that one of my spirit animals is the jaguar and her name is “Portia.” She absorbs negativity with her black coat and allows me to use her eyes when I have trouble “seeing.” She is a beautiful and majestic animal deserving my respect and cooperation.
I also spend time speaking to my crystal collection and they also help to calibrate my energy field in specific ways. For example, citrine quartz is commonly used to attract abundance, or fluorite is used for mental mastery. All crystals have a purpose to assist us in our pathway. They can also be programmed, just like us.
Pay attention to your reactions and choose love and compassion.
For example, what do you normally do when someone tries to cut in front of you while you’re driving? Do you let them in? Do you honk at them? Do you speed up so that can’t do it?
How you react to life says a lot about your vibration. I used to be one of those people who would get angry when someone tried to cut in front of me. Now, I look at everyone as a friendly neighbor and I actually look for opportunities to let someone in. I am often rewarded with smiles and waves and this brings me joy in my everyday life. Even if they don’t wave or acknowledge my kindness, I still feel good within myself and how I choose to live my life.
Try something new or learn something new.
When was the last time you did something new and got out of your routine? New experiences create new neural pathways and new results in our lives. If we do the same things over and over and think the same thoughts over and over, we will create a predictable future with little room for growth. Sometimes it can be as easy as asking the question, “What would I like to know more about?” and listen for the answer. Or ask a friend and see what they say.
I’m getting way out of my comfort zone this year by taking flight lessons. It’s like entering a whole new world!
See yourself as whole and complete.
You are an infinite being of light! You are already whole and complete.
Of course, our ego would tell us otherwise and most of us spend much of our day in some sort of self-abuse. We do need our ego, which we can also think of as our personality, to fulfill our individual destinies.
Each of us has a unique pathway on this planet. But it’s important not to let the ego control or take over our existence to the point that we forget that we are actually a soul first and foremost. And that soul is perfect because it is a piece of the divine. Try to remember in your daily experience this fact and you will no longer be at the mercy of your ego.
Know that you have nothing to prove, nothing to fear, nothing to worry about.
There IS a bigger plan for your life and when you let your soul direct you, your access to higher states of love and bliss is your natural state!
